Standard Must Be Biblical, Not Fantasy

Having standards is not arrogance, it is wise.
Healthy standards protect you from manipulation, dishonor, abuse and compromise.
But unrealistic perfectionism can also sabotage relationships. Healthy marriages are built by two imperfect people committed to growth under God. No man or woman will be flawless.
Instead, look for:
Faithfulness
Humility
Wisdom
Willingness to grow
“Love covers a multitude of sins.” — Peter 4:8
Standards should reflect reality and godly character—not fantasy perfection. Seek growth—not flawless performance.
