“For the vision is yet for an appointed time; it hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay.” — Habakkuk 2:3

We’ve all been there — waiting on something we’ve prayed for, worked for, believed for… yet the breakthrough still hasn’t come. Maybe it’s a job opportunity, healing, reconciliation, provision, or a long-awaited dream. And in that waiting, it’s easy to wonder: Did God forget me? Did I miss something? Is it ever going to happen?

But friend, delay is not denial.

God is never late. He is always on time — His time. And while the waiting can feel like silence, it’s often the space where God is doing His deepest work. He’s not withholding the promise to hurt you; He’s preparing you to hold it well.

Just like a seed planted in the soil, there’s growth happening beneath the surface long before we see any fruit. Trust that God is not inactive. He’s aligning people, situations, and even your heart to match the beautiful timing of His plan.

Sometimes, the delay is protection. Sometimes it’s preparation. Sometimes, it’s simply God saying, “Not yet — but I’m still in this with you.”

So don’t lose heart. Don’t walk away from the process. If God gave you the vision, the word, the promise — hold on. Though it tarries, wait for it. It will surely come.

Your story is not stuck. It’s being written — by the Author who knows the end from the beginning.

Keep trusting. Keep moving forward. Keep your heart soft in the wait.Because when the answer comes, you’ll see — the delay wasn’t a denial. It was divine timing.
