Psalm 29: 3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters. 4 The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. 11 The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
God is always speaking, we just need to listen.. I once heard someone say. When I need clarity or God’s intervention, I read this psalm and it gives me such peace. It describes the awesome and powerful things the voice of the Lord can do and yet ends by speaking of the peace God gives. Surely there’s a connection, that when God speaks, our minds become ordered and we receive direction that gives peace.
The great news is, we don’t have to search long and hard to hear the voice of God…it’s right there in His word. All we need to do is take the time to read it, internalize it and confess it’s truths.
Romans 10: 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”[a] that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
God always wants to involve us and that’s what prayer is. Times tested and proven..the truths of the faith, believed and confessed bring salvation and deliverance. We can partake of God’s divine nature and share in his power through His great and precious promises.
Like the psalmist David, sometimes we may start off with a plea or a cry of distress but as we engage the word and Spirit of God, our language changes, our words become His words, His voice becomes our voice. We who are natural can be supernatural.
Today I pray that your faith would be strengthened as you read the word, internalize it and confess it. That your prayer life would become more exciting and full of power. That you would be transformed by renewing your mind and that you will persist in prayer and see circumstances around you changed. Be naturally supernatural in Christ!!
